At 9:15 pm local time, Xi Jinping’s special plane arrived at Ramgoolam International Airport. Mauritius Prime Minister Jagannat greeted the airport. When Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan stepped down the ramp, Jagnat and his wife Kobita greeted them. Kobita presented flowers to Peng Liyuan.

Jagannat held a grand welcoming ceremony for Xi Jinping at the airport.

The leaders of the two countries boarded the review desk. The military band played the national anthem of China and Malaysia. Accompanied by Jagannath, Xi Jinping reviewed the honor guard. The Chinese song "My Chinese Heart" was played live. After reviewing, the leaders of the two countries went to the reception hall together. Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan greeted the staff with Mao. Jagannat said that he warmly welcomes President Xi Jinping's transit to Mauritius and conducts a friendly visit. Xi Jinping arrived in Mauritius after ending his state visit to South Africa and attending the tenth meeting of the BRICS leaders in Johannesburg. When leaving Johannesburg, senior officials of the South African government went to the airport to see off Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan.
